From my Garden

I've been thinking of writing a blog for ages and just never got around to it so its seems like a good idea to start now.

My garden is very important to my art as lots of my inspiration comes from there. Its full of birds too which seem to feature in my work a lot. A green garden, shady and cool at this time of year. Not many flowers at the moment now the roses are finished and things are a bit faded and dust drifting up from the road hangs in the air in the evening catching the light in a glowing sort of way.

At the moment I am spending the hot afternoons in the cool of my studio painting a body of works for later this year. It is a collection of paintings of Flowers and Birds and I'm loving working on it.
