Birds in the Garden

So many birds are frequenting our garden at the moment. We have seen so many King Parrots, Rosellas and Bower Birds. But the ones that I like most are the little birds that flit around our untidy, unruly garden beds. Scrub Wrens, Blue Wrens, Firetails, Honey Eaters of various kinds, Fly Catchers, Fantails and Willy Wag Tails can all be seen if you watch carefully enough. Yesterday as I was looking out the kitchen window a Pardalote decided to investigate my wire sculpture hanging just outside. Of course as long as I was still he couldn’t see me and he hopped around looking for spiders oblivious of his observer inches away. Such a dapper little fellow with his black sunglasses, yellow chest and distinct white spots. It’s a privilege and a joy to live in a place with such beautiful neighbours.
